Neil Holmes - I know its been done to death Matt, but these are still nice shots, i like the black and white treatment, what software do you use to convert to B&W?

Matt - Thanks, Neil.

I use Lightroom to normally do my ‘base’ editing, and then export to Photoshop to convert, tone and finish off the editing.

johnlo - wow. that is awesome! very nice. that is one place i need to visit. How did you manage to get no one/tourist in the pics? thought people go there all the time.

Edward Lui - Very cool, you are the master of landscape photography, I still think we should enter competition as I want to see you whoop me left to right and back again haha. Good stuff!

To follow on what the other chap said, what time was this taken, surprised to see no one there at all. I don’t even know where the ‘henge is, need to get out more me thinks.

Matt - Cheers. It was in the middle of the day but, due to it being just after all the snow we’ve had, they’d closed half the pathway off. There are some people in the last photo if you look to the right. Wanted to give it a bit of scale as the stone’s are a LOT bigger than you think.

More From The Peak

After finishing up with my little set of photos from Countryside; Illuminated, I snapped a few ‘normal’ looking photos. Being up high in the Peak District is always good, but why does it persist in being so flippin’ cold? If any readers were there recently (in the correct and suitable clothing) and saw a bloke with his hands in his armpits, jumping up and down… That was me!
