Thanks for taking a look at my previous post about Section 60′s latest shoot!  The concept was a simple one:  A pub, outside.

Sounds simple, anyway, but involved taking the interior of a pub and bunging it outside.  Not an easy feat, as you can appreciate.  It was certainly different and garnered some great shots.

Ruberlaris are a band I’ve taken loads of photos of.  If you have a quick look through the Music and Band section of my website, Ruberlaris feature pretty heavily.  They’ve just released their very first single and are doing a load of gigs all across the UK.  For details of the gigs, check out their website here.

Obviously, I’m now going to ask you to dip into your pocket and buy it!  For the paltry sum of 79 pence you could own a first edition Ruberlaris single.  Who knows?  It could be worth £1,000,000 one day.  Investment aside, the single is awesome and you could have just found your new favourite indie/rock/ska band.  To get it, simply follow the link:

This is how I spent my Saturday!

I’ll be adding some photos from this shoot soon enough but for now, enjoy this little shot showing the set-up and time lapse video.

If you happen to be at the last few matches (ever!) at Saltergate, keep your ears peeled for Ruberlaris who are going to have their new single played out at half-time.  They’re also going to be featured in the match-day program so needed a few photos doing…  This is where I came in handy.

I’ve got to say thanks to Chesterfield FC for supplying the shirts and agreeing to help the band out.  Special mention must go to Chesterfield FC’s Head of Marketing (notice I said Head) for coming out into the car-park to tell us to clear off.

I promised more photos and that’s what you get!  This is the second part from Section 60‘s launch party.  As I said in Part One, it was a pleasure shooting these photos and the gig was awesome.

After I heard the great news of my photos making it onto Section 60′s album cover, I was asked to cover their album launch party.

It was a genuine pleasure to be shooting some photos for Section 60 again and finally getting to hear them live was brilliant.  The VIP lounge was pretty cool too!

Here’s just a couple from the night and I’ll post more when I can – I’ve got about a million more to edit!

Following on from another proud moment I had, I’d like to present you with another massive compliment.  This is the debut album from Section 60, an indie band from Sheffield.  They’ve only gone and used my photos for the artwork!  I’m very chuffed.

I also covered their album launch night on Friday 29th.  The photos are coming soon!  You can find more of Section 60 and other bands, here.

New Sheffield band, Section 60, commissioned me recently to produce a cover for their  upcoming E.P.  They’ve been planning the shoot for a while now and this morning it all came to fruition.  I’m not exactly sure how they pulled it off, but an Evangelist, a Sheffield Star cover feature, over 20 Lambrettas and the band themselves descended on the streets of Sheffield this morning for the shoot. You can hear some of Section 60′s fantastic songs here (make sure you check out ‘Forever Now’).
