Claudia + Richard’s Engagement Shoot

Did you happen to see Claudia and Richard’s Sneak Peek?  Claudia, Richard, Dana (their dog!) and I braved the howling wind, torrential down-pours and frost-bite inducing cold to bring you these – I hope you appreciate them! Only joking, it wasn’t too bad but it’s a shame the beautiful weather decided to have a day off.

Claudia and Richard get married this weekend so we met up recently and made our way to Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens for a fun and exciting engagement shoot.

Matt - Thanks David! I run a standard B&W conversion in Lightroom which applies a B&W ‘mix’, a tone-curve and a slight warming-up with Split Toning. Then I go into Photoshop and fiddle with Luminosity Masks (more info here: http://bit.ly/73iSPz).

Hope that helps.

David Kelly - Hi Matt, just found your site via you posting in Matt K’s Lightroom Killer tips website.

A great set of shots that I’m sure Claudia & Richard will treasure. I really love the mono shots – really punchy, strong blacks & whites in them. Did you do these conversions solely in LR or make use of PS or a specialist plug-in like Nik Silver Efex?

Looking forward to having a more detailed look around your site when I get some more time.
